“The saddest, deadest, thing there is… all at once… full of life!”
Fathers and Sons by Valerie Muensterman was a premier production during the University of Iowa’s 2023 New Play Festival. Based upon finding the silver linings within a nihilist worldview, the lighting was utilized to shaped character, and highlight surreal storytelling elements.
