“We will sit beneath the Old Apple Tree, Whene’er we meet again!”
American Rusałki was a premier production with the University of Iowa New Play Festival in the Spring of 2024. Set in northern Rhode Island, early 1800s on the The Blackstone River. The water runs through the woods of a small, rural town... and there’s Something in the water. This play with music is based in dark Polish & American mythology, and is set during the early 1800s. Lighting was utilized to create a mysterious and heightened supernatural setting, highlighting the magical elements of this mythology.
